Are you an experienced safeguarding professional with a passion for ensuring children and young people are safe, supported, and able to thrive?
We are seeking an exceptional Trust-Wide Safeguarding Lead Officer to join our central team and provide strategic and operational leadership for safeguarding across our family of schools. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen safeguarding practice, support school leaders, and ensure the highest standards of child protection and welfare are embedded across the Trust.
As a key member of our central team, you will work closely with Headteachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), Governors, and external agencies to ensure our safeguarding culture is robust, proactive, and child-centred.
About the Role
The Trust-Wide Safeguarding Lead Officer will:
· Provide expert safeguarding advice, guidance, and support to schools across the Trust.
· Lead on safeguarding compliance and quality assurance activities.
· Monitor safeguarding practice to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
· Support and challenge school leaders to maintain outstanding safeguarding standards.
· Undertake safeguarding audits, reviews, and monitoring visits.
· Analyse safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, and welfare data to identify trends and drive improvement.
· Deliver and coordinate safeguarding training for staff and leaders.
· Provide support and guidance in managing complex child protection and safeguarding cases.
· Develop and maintain effective partnerships with children’s social care, police, health services, and other agencies.
· Contribute to Trust policies, procedures, and strategic safeguarding developments.
· Promote a culture where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
