Caretaker / Handyman Grade 3 points 7-11 (£24,294-£25,979)
Required as soon as possible
Permanent. 37 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, shift pattern to be discussed plus weekend and bank holiday school security & internal boiler plant room checks.
The Link School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated person to take on this very important role in the school as part of the Premises Team.
The role involves the caretaking, repair, maintenance and security of the school sites and buildings. This is a highly valued and responsible position, and it is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate:
- Flexibility and a high level of commitment
- Willingness to sometimes work unsocial hours.
- Good social skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to use initiative and the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Practical, hands-on DIY skills and an ability to solve problems related to buildings and sites.
- Punctuality and reliability
- A dedication to the upkeep of the school buildings
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a school
- Knowledge of cleaning within a school environment
- Knowledge of premises related risk assessments.
Additional payments are applicable for weekend boiler and security checks, including bank holidays.
