Teacher of Computer Science & T Level Lead – Main/Upper Pay Range plus TLR 2b £5,350 per annum

This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate to Lead on the introduction and delivery of our new T Level Programme and teach Computer Science at North East Futures UTC. The UTC is based in central Newcastle and replicates a business environment with state of the art facilities and a new T Level offer due to commence in September 2024.
All students at North East Futures UTC specialise in either Healthcare Science of Computer Science, at 14 they will also study a broad and balanced curriculum and at Post 16 the curriculum becomes more specialist including the offer of T Levels. In addition, the UTC is part of Tyne Coast Academy Trust which has a strategically developed growth plan providing excellent career development opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher to teach Computer Science at Key Stages 4 and 5 and work closely with the Principal to lead on the introduction and delivery of our new T Level offer. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to provide professional subject leadership and to support the project management of the introduction and delivery of our new T Level programme.
You will be expected to:
- Lead on developing and ensuring the delivery of an appropriate comprehensive, high quality curriculum.
- Have a passion for teaching and learning showing good classroom practice, promoting learning based on good subject knowledge with the ability to support other colleagues in this area.
- Contribute to the drive for high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour across the UTC.
- Have high expectations of all students.
The role will provide you with:
