The school is seeking to recruit a Faculty Leader for Modern Foreign Languages & Social Sciences. The role has become available due to the promotion of the previous post holder. The role of Faculty Leader is a senior position within Whickham School where the successful applicant will have the opportunity to:
- Lead a faculty of ten colleagues;
- Hold strategic and operational responsibility for a number of different curricular areas;
- Be a member of a Faculty Leadership Group that drives academic standards in the school;
- Coach and mentor colleagues in ensuring they are excellent practitioners.
This role is aimed at colleagues who can teach either French and/or German and are either currently in, or have held, leadership positions. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance skills in preparation for senior leadership.
To recruit and retain the highest calibre staff, the school offers a number of enhancements for colleagues. These include:
