High Tunstall College of Science is seeking to appoint an outstanding Whole College Literacy Lead from April 2024, to ensure all of our young people are able to achieve their potential at High Tunstall College of Science.
We are currently reviewing our Literacy Strategy, including what interventions we can offer students and how we can keep literacy at the forefront of our curriculum. As a Literacy Lead you will play a significant role in leading the development of literacy across the College and be responsible for supporting the developments of disciplinary literacy across the curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
Engaging students in purposeful learning experiences is the key to outstanding progress and we are fully committed to preparing students to become fluent readers, foster a love of literacy and progress as young people. Literacy prepares our learners for the transition into higher education and the rapidly evolving workforce of the future.
