Technician

The Director of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust and Governors of The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint a Technician.

You will be an assistant to the Technology and Art department, providing daily support in lessons with preparation and also working alongside students during practical lessons, using specialist machines and equipment.

The school is looking for candidates who are:

• Excellent communicators both verbal and written.
• Team player.
• Well organised and can work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Flexible, adaptable, with a positive approach to working in a structured environment.
• Enjoy working with young people.
• Creative and enthusiastic about arts / craft and technology / food.
• Have making skills.

A good level of English and Maths is essential as well as the ability to engage effectively with children, staff and parents to develop professional relationships.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
