Due to an increase in curriculum time for English at KS3, Durham High School, a vibrant and highly successful independent girls day school, is seeking to appoint a talented, well-qualified and inspirational Part time Teacher of English (0.66).
The successful candidate will possess an excellent degree in English, or related subject, with the ability to teach across the age and ability range at GCSE. The ability to teach A level English is also highly desirable. You should be able to demonstrate an innovative and imaginative approach to teaching and learning, showing the capability to deliver inspirational and informative lessons. You should also have a caring and supportive attitude who can enthuse and motivate students who find English challenging. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of departmental development and be a dedicated team player who strives for excellence and leads by example.
