We are seeking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant Level 1 to ensure the safety and welfare of pupils on the school site during the mid-day break. Duties of the role include:
- Supervision of pupils taking a school meal as well as other pupils on the school site during the mid-day break.
- Maintaining discipline throughout the lunchtimes break in accordance with guidance given by the Head Teacher and to report back accordingly.
- Recording incidents using the MIS and behaviour management procedures, such as incident book or accident book, in order to fulfil legal obligations.
- The supervision of pupils returning to the premises at the end of the mid-day break.
This post is part time working Monday to Friday 11am-1.15pm
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- Experience working in a similar role in a school setting.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with children and work with them to promote high standards of behaviour and cooperation.
- NVQ level 1 or equivalent in English and Maths or experience in relevant discipline/job role.
- Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
