St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School is a ‘Good’ rated school based in Wrekenton, Gateshead with 191 children on roll. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We have an exciting opportunity for a competent and hardworking School Administrator to join our team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, can communicate well, is organised, and likes variety in their work. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking an individual to:
- Provide administrative support to meet the needs of the school.
- Ensure the smooth running of the school office and provide support to all areas of school administration.
- Produce and process routine school documentation and letters.
- Ensure all visitors are welcomed to our school and that they comply with the school’s safeguarding procedures.
- Take an active role in first aid provision.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent A-C grade including Maths and English.
- Great communication and organisational skills and enjoy working with and dealing with a range of people.
- The ability to work well under pressure, manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
- Relevant and recent experience of working in a customer service or administrative or receptionist role.
- Good work ethic and the ability to work to own initiative.
- Good knowledge of ICT, Microsoft Office programmes, such as Word and Excel.
