Part Time Class Teacher

Location:       St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Croftdale Road, Blaydon-on-Tyne, NE21 4BG

Grade:          MPS/UPS (£32,916 to £51,048 per annum, pro rata)

Hours:          Part Time (0.4 FTE – 2 Days per Week), Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2027

Required Start Date: 1^st September 2026

We have an exciting opportunity for a Class Teacher to join our school. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual who will make a significant contribution to the learning and development of our pupils as a classroom teacher.

The successful candidate will:

• Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils.
• Facilitate a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as Class Teacher.
• Support and contribute to the school’s responsibility for safeguarding children, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Adhere to the SEND Code of Practice.
• Direct and supervise the work of the support staff in the classroom, to ensure that they are progressing the learning of pupils at all times.
