St Anne’s Catholic Primary School is a ‘Good’ rated school based in Harlow Green with 163 children on roll. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We wish to appoint a committed, well-qualified and highly effective Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individual/groups, in or out of the classroom.
We are seeking an individual to:
- Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
- Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/planning as appropriate.
- Be responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacher, contributing to reviews of systems/records as requested.
- Implement agreed learning activities teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a school environment.
- A good standard of education – a minimum of 4 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics.
- An ability to communicate effectively- orally and in writing.
- A commitment to ensure that all pupils are supported to achieve the highest standards.
- Experience of working across all stages.
- Experience of working with SEN children.
- An understanding of child development and learning.
