We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive team at Our Lady & St. Joseph’s. This is a full time post, initially for one year relating to pupil funding.
We are seeking an individual who is:
- Willing to support the ethos of our school
- Able to establish a good relationship with a pupil with a medical condition, ensuring their medical needs are met in order to allow them to interact with others and engage in activities.
- Able to establish a good relationship with the parent/carers, gathering and sharing information in order to support the medical needs of a child.
- Willing to engage in supervision of the child during outdoor learning times and lunch times to ensure that health needs are carefully monitored and met.
- Willing to participate in training, including training in relation to medical care, and other learning activities and performance development as required to meet individual pupil and staff needs
- Flexible, approachable and has a love of working with children
- Able to help create a stimulating, organised and interactive learning environment
- An excellent communicator who values teamwork
We are seeking an individual who has:
- Previous experience of working in Early Years
- Experience of planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
- A good understanding of children’s learning
- Sound practical, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Experience of supporting children with SEN
- Experience of working with children across the key stages
