St Robert of Newminster Catholic School & Sixth Form College is a highly successful and oversubscribed secondary school with sixth form located in Washington. Our school aims to provide a stimulating and encouraging environment within which pupils can attain the highest standards of which they are capable, and to assist them in taking their place in the world outside school in a useful and fulfilling career, with a firm sense of Catholic commitment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND Team in September 2025.
You will work under the guidance of the SENDCO to implement agreed work programmes with individual/groups, in or out of the classroom.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working with young people
- An understanding of the needs of pupils in particular those with SEND
- The ability to work within a team
- The ability to work with pupils on individual targets set by a member of staff
- Good written and spoken communication skills
