Learning Mentor – Internal Exclusion
Norham High School
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD CAN SUCCEED?
Norham High school is an 11-16 secondary school serving the community of North Shields. The school works in close partnership with Churchill Community College, a local outstanding teaching school, to accelerate the progress and aspirations of pupils. This partnership provides a unique and excellent CPD opportunity for colleagues within the school.
The role of Internal Exclusion – Learning Mentor is crucial to support our pupils and helping to further improve strong systems that the school already has for developing behaviour and aspirations of pupils. The successful candidate will develop and lead our internal exclusion centre, ensuring a rigorous learning environment with high standards of behaviour.
The purpose of the post is to lead appropriate behaviour strategies and interventions, and to manage the new provision which is an alternative from exclusions to home with a focus on improving attitudes to learning and aspirations.
If you are committed to giving all children the education they deserve, we would like to hear from you. Application packs, including a job description and person specification, can be obtained below. All applications should be completed electronically and emailed to Susan Lee (email@example.com)
All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Norham High school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of race, sex, age or disability.
