St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College is “A Learning Community guided by Gospel Values.” The Governors of this successful Catholic Academy, a member of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, wish to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Lead Teacher of MFL (French specialist). We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional who has a passion for leading by example and is dedicated to supporting students to achieve their full potential. An ability to teach Spanish at Key Stage 3 will also be desirable.
Applicants should be well-qualified; have a proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes; demonstrate an excellent ability to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues in developing their teaching. They should be outstanding and enthusiastic teachers who have demonstrated creativity and initiative in their own practice in order to raise student standards, attainment and progress.
The successful applicant will have a key role in driving standards and recruitment in MFL at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. In addition, the successful applicant will also support and facilitate training to ITT students and newly qualified staff, as and when required, working as a member of our school improvement team.
