St Thomas More Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic Academy which provides for the education needs of 11-18 year old pupils from the west of Gateshead L.A. We are part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and have a strong commitment to Catholic Education.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated ICT Technician to join our ICT team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our supportive and growing team providing ICT support and services to our schools. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.
The successful candidate will have:
● A relevant ICT qualification or equivalent work experience
● Some experience or knowledge of working in a technical support role, including hardware/software/operations and systems including network and server.
● A good understanding of networks and experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS
● An understanding and working knowledge of all ICT hardware, and PC applications/operating systems such as but not limited to Windows 10/11 and Office 365
It is envisaged that you will support trust schools within the Gateshead and Northumberland area, however you may be required to travel to other schools within the Trust and must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post (car mileage allowance is payable).

Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, formerly The Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Trust was set up on 1 February 2012. Cardinal Hume Catholic School, Gateshead was the first school in the trust.
Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, is currently a family of 5 secondary schools and 21 primary schools from across Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and Northumberland, in the west of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust is expanding rapidly and will reach a total of 48 schools by Summer 2022.
