Higher Level Teaching Assistant Required from 1 September 2023.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in providing support for pupils with special educational needs. The successful candidate will provide support for the Class Teacher when attending EHCP meetings and will also support with other cover needs.
The postholder will work in all areas of school from EYFS to Post 16 including Specialist ASD and PMLD provision
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in caring for children with special educational needs
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills
- Is able to work as a part of a team, learning with and from other colleagues
- Enjoys working independently and with initiative
- Is able to lead a class working effectively with children either individually and in small groups to enable them to achieve their best
- Is highly organised and has good time management skills
- Is flexible, proactive and resourceful
- Demonstrates good English and Mathematics skills (GCSE Grade 9-4 (old grade A-C) or equivalent/higher
- Hold HLTA Status
- Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Understands confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
