8:30am – 3:45pm plus two hours planning on a Monday evening
Term time with holiday or retainer pay (as appropriate) during school holidays
St. Oswald’s Pre-School provides care and education during school term time only for children from 2 years of age.
Due to an increase in numbers of children requiring one-to-one support, we are currently looking for two diligent and proactive Pre-School Assistants to join our team on fixed term contracts.
Applicants should hold a Level 3 Diploma or higher childcare qualification, with sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have experience of working with children with SEN, and have previously worked in an early years setting.
A current Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for these posts.

St. Oswald’s Pre-School is operated by Great Aycliffe Town Council, rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, the Pre-school is located in the beautiful grounds of St Oswald’s Park, which is a lovely setting, with play areas, grassed areas, flowers and trees. St Oswald’s has been operating for many years, and can accommodate forty 3 year old and twelve 2 year old children between 8.45am and 3.30pm, term time only, providing the Early Years Foundation Stage.
