Facilities Supervisor (Caretaker) 

Required from January 2023

Salary Band: N4 Point 5 to 8   

Actual Salary: £21,574 – £22,776

Working pattern: 37 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint a professional, self-motivated Facilities Supervisor (Caretaker) to join us at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy. This is a key role which is integral to the smooth running of our school.

You will work with the Facilities Manager and other site staff to provide a professional and efficient caretaking service. The job is varied and includes premises related functions such as maintenance of the school building and grounds, ensuring the premises are kept safe and secure, ensuring health and safety is adhered to, and liaising with external contractors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our school community and we are looking for an energetic and passionate individual who will impact positively in this role. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and possess the relevant skills and knowledge to become part of the school team dealing with all site-related maintenance.  Applicants should clearly indicate in their supporting statement what they could bring to this role in terms of skills, knowledge and experience.

St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community and we offer high quality education in a Catholic Christian environment. St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust. The post holder will be based at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy but will be expected to attend off site training as required and may be required to support in other schools within the trust to ensure that operational needs are met.
