We are seeking to recruit new Examination Invigilators to work with the existing team in the running of all internal and public examinations at Boldon School.
The post would be ideally suited to applicants who feel a sense of responsibility for today’s young people and who are able to work flexible daytime hours. The role is on a casual basis, throughout the academic year, involving morning and afternoon sessions as directed by the Examinations Officer.
As an examination invigilator you will supervise students during examinations and complete a small amount of associated paper work.
Experience of carrying out invigilation duties would be an advantage however full training will be provided for all invigilators and all hours will be negotiated for each examination period.
Boldon School and South Tyneside Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, we may carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
Anyone interested in this post should complete an application form outlining their skills and experience. Application forms should be returned to Mrs J Routledge at jennifer.routledge@boldonschool.org.uk.
We will acknowledge receipt of your application but if you do not hear from us within 6 weeks of the closing date you can presume that your application has been unsuccessful. Should this be the case we would like to thank you for the interest you have shown in the post and wish you every success for the future.
