St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Blaydon is proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. The governors of this friendly, caring and successful school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding primary classroom teacher as Deputy Headteacher to join our team and help us work towards our mission statement;

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
- Is a committed and practising Catholic who values the distinctive nature of Catholic Education
- Is an outstanding classroom teacher with a passion for highly effective teaching and learning
- Is creative, innovative and forward thinking
- Is able to work collaboratively with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governors
- Sets targets and plans rigorously to ensure that all children thrive and achieve their full potential
- Leads by example and has high expectations of everyone
- Forms positive relationships, challenges, motivates and inspires others
