We are seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities Manager. This is an exciting new role to the trust and will support our Sunderland cluster schools currently South Hylton Primary and Academy 360 (all through). Reporting directly to the Head of Estates you will support the creation of a new centralised service to ensure it is fit for the future as we grow the trust.
Your remit will be wide and challenging, our estate is varied and our standards are high. Creating environments in which staff can lead and inspire young people is the top priority and the quality of the work of you and your team will directly contribute to that.
Your operational background in facilities management will support you in this role, managing a variety of support staff including security, cleaning and contractors you will set standards and ensure compliance at every level. Working in partnership with key stakeholders within schools as well as across the trust you will anticipate needs and provide a professional and joined up service, turning your strategy into action.
As well as day to day operational activity you will work on key capital projects collaborating with partners to create safe and compliant estates.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious and brave and who is not afraid to challenge the status quo or accepted norms. You will be curious and keen to develop ways of working that enable the trust to grow whilst maintaining quality work. You will be fast and determined and have the ability to prioritise and delegate in a fast-changing environment.
