We are looking to recruit an experienced teacher to join our successful happy team. Valley Road is part of the IRIS Learning Trust, incorporated in June 2018. It serves a richly diverse community and has demonstrated that it offers a good quality of education. Valley Road’s Ofsted report in October 2022 states:

Our new member of staff would ideally have:
- Excellent, up to date, knowledge of the national curriculum
- Highly skilled in the teaching of early reading and phonics
- Experience of using assessment and observations to inform effective planning
- An understanding of how the learning environment contributes to learning
- An understanding of how to improve outcomes and raise achievement for all children
- An effective communicator and team member who can work in an environment of collective accountability.
- A commitment to working in close partnership with staff, governors, parents and the wider community
- A commitment to your own professional development
- A willingness to contribute and shape practice across school
