Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England and will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
The governors are looking to appoint a hard working and self-motivated, member of staff to strengthen our team. We are looking for someone who will:
- Be fully supportive of the catholic ethos of our school;
- Have experience teaching within the primary range;
- Have high expectations for and be committed to raising standards and securing excellent progress;
- Be an adaptable, creative and enthusiastic classroom practitioner;
- Be self-motivated and work well as part of a team;
- Have excellent communication skills and build positive and productive relationships with all members of the school community;
- Support and be involved in the life of our school.
The successful candidate will have:
- An excellent knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and relevant statutory and non-statutory curricular frameworks;
- The ability to design and teach effective lessons and learning activities across the curriculum and age range;
- An understanding of effective assessment procedures and practices, including target setting and pupil progress review;
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies;
- Knowledge of current legislation, policies and guidance on safeguarding of learners and promotion of pupil well-being.
