St Joseph’s is an inclusive one-form entry primary school situated in the heart of Durham City.

Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools.
This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative class teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team.
We are seeking a class teacher who:
- Is a practising Catholic or who is willing to support the ethos and practices of our Catholic school
- Is a talented and inclusive teacher who keeps our children at the heart of their work
- Has the highest expectations for all children with an understanding of how to ensure outstanding progress
- Can inspire and engage all children creatively in the learning process
- Can create a stimulating, organised and interactive learning environment
- Aspires to excel professionally
The successful candidate will have:
- An understanding of how children learn, including those with additional needs
- The ability to inspire and motivate all children
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
