The Directors of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust and Governors of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Billingham invite applications for the role of Caretaker for this popular and successful primary school.
A key feature of the post is flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplined team under the direction of the Headteacher and the Business Manager.
You will be required to:
· Ensure facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard;
· Supervise a team of cleaning staff;
· Be a reliable, organised and conscientious worker, who will take pride in the appearance of the school.
The post is 25 hours per week, working Monday – Friday during term time. Additional days are paid and will be mutually agreed during school closure times. Hours are flexible and may be subject to change depending on the needs of the school. This post is Term time, plus 15 days directed during school closure.
Duties will include daily weekly and monthly statutory checks (fire alarm, legionella, emergency lighting etc.) painting and decoration, plumbing, minor repairs and other maintenance tasks including cleaning of the school and upkeep of the school grounds.
Good initiative and organisational skills are essential.
