St Anne’s Catholic Primary School is a ‘Good’ rated school based in Harlow Green with 149 children on roll. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We are seeking an individual to ensure the school site is secure and that the buildings and grounds are maintained, clean and equipment is well maintained. The successful candidate will also supervise a part time cleaner within the school to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure buildings and the site are secure.
- Act as the designated key holder for the school premises, opening and closing the school.
- Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, lighting and security.
- Arrange regular maintenance and safety checks.
- Perform duties in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations.
- Maintain the school grounds and liaise with the grounds maintenance contractor.
- Clean all areas of school, toilets, classrooms, corridors, hall, ensuring that they are kept in a clean, safe and hygienic condition in collaboration with the School Cleaner.
- Be part of a welcoming and supportive team of staff, parents, carers and governors.

Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, formerly The Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Trust was set up on 1 February 2012. Cardinal Hume Catholic School, Gateshead was the first school in the trust.
Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, is currently a family of 5 secondary schools and 21 primary schools from across Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and Northumberland, in the west of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust is expanding rapidly and will reach a total of 48 schools by Summer 2022.
