We’re looking for a Careers Lead to work at Benfield School, ensuring pupils have access to high-quality careers advice and experiences that help them make informed choices about their future.
What you’ll be doing
- Running the school’s careers programme, making sure pupils get the right advice at the right time.
- Working with employers, colleges, and training providers to organise meaningful careers events and experiences.
- Helping pupils explore their options for further education, apprenticeships, and work.
- Supporting staff so they can embed careers learning into lessons.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers so they can help guide their children.
- Keeping track of what’s working well and making sure we meet the Gatsby Benchmarks.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or careers-related role.
- Hold a Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance – or are willing to work towards it.
- Are well-organised and confident working with different stakeholders, including employers, pupils, and parents.
- Have good IT skills and can work with systems like Word, Excel, Google Drive, and careers platforms.
- Are passionate about making sure every young person gets the best possible start in their career journey.
This post is full time, 37 hours per week, and offers the postholder flexibility being term time only plus 5 training days.Benfield School is a fully inclusive 11-16 school it has a distinct ethos with strong sense of support and loyalty. NEAT Academy Trust, usually known as NEAT, was formed in 2017 from an existing collaboration of schools within North East England.
Academy trusts are charitable companies set up to provide education for the public benefit. We are a “mixed” multi-academy trust as we were established to include both non-faith and Church of England schools.
