St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College is “A Learning Community guided by Gospel Values.” The Governors of this successful Catholic Academy, a member of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, wish to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Careers Coordinator.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated professional who has a passion for working with children and their families to promote positive attitudes to Careers, training and apprenticeships, Further Education and Higher Education providers. Applicants should have experience of working with children within a learning environment or youth organisation.  Knowledge and understanding of the Gatsby benchmarks would be essential.

The successful candidate will join our excellent support team, working effectively with our students and families and committed to supporting students’ academic, personal, social and emotional development.  As part of this team, the successful candidate will actively nurture, support and mentor students to engage with Careers education and guidance in order to improve their life chances and become the best versions of themselves.

St John’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College is recognised by Ofsted as a Good Provider and achieved Outstanding in all areas during the Hexham and Newcastle Diocesan Inspection (October 2019).
