We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and inspirational Assistant Curriculum Leader for English, focusing on Key Stage 3 in the upcoming academic year. Your role will be to help instil in our students a love for the subject and a desire to learn and succeed in English.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to be a role model to other staff, embodying the professionalism, flexibility, resourcefulness, initiative, collaboration, and high expectations which we expect of all leaders at Churchill. The successful candidate will be expected to support the Curriculum Leader with driving change where change is needed and build on the excellent practice which already exists.
You would be joining an enthusiastic and supportive department made up of a range of specialisms and levels of experience. At Churchill Community College, we believe English is a subject where all students should thrive and the study of English should support our students to become lifelong learners who are curious about the world. Our curriculum is ambitious and exciting with lots of extra-curricular opportunities. A significant number of our students choose to stay with us for post-16 study and our numbers for both A Level English Language and A Level English Literature continue to grow.
