St Thomas More Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic Academy which provides for the education needs of 11-18 year old pupils from the west of Gateshead L.A. We are part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and have a strong commitment to Catholic Education.
Our school aims to provide a stimulating and encouraging environment within which students can attain the highest standards of which they are capable, and to assist them in taking their place in the world outside school in a useful and fulfilling career, with a firm sense of Christian commitment. We are strongly committed to the education of the whole child and being ‘the principal means of helping parents to fulfil their role in education’ [Canon Law: 796].
We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest Catholic Education Trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive and growing team.
St Thomas More is a school that places significant value on collaboration and as such is dedicated to working with our partner schools to improve the quality of education for all students in our care.
We are seeking an administrator to work as part of an experienced administration team in our busy school office. The role is to provide general administrative support to the school as well as to provide frontline support to students and visitors arriving at St Thomas More’s reception. The successful candidate will be able to operate in a proactive way, demonstrating a high level of initiative and discretion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, can communicate well, is organised and likes variety in their work. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
