Permanent Position – Full Time
Victoria Lane Academy is one of seven schools that form part of Tudhoe Learning Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Safeguarding, Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our team at the Academy which serves the community of Coundon.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the attendance, safeguarding and support of children so that they have the best chance to engage in their learning every day.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders, excellent communication and organisational skills.
- To identify and work with individuals using regular attendance checks and contact parents, carers and children to improve the level of attendance.
- Ensure that data protection and client confidentiality requirements are met, including the confidential storage of client records, obtaining client permission before sharing information, assessing risk and where appropriate breaking confidentiality in order to ensure the health and safety of individuals.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
- Work effectively as part of the School’s Safeguarding team and Deputy Designated Lead.
