Boldon School

We are incredibly proud to announce that Boldon School is officially recognised by Ofsted as a Good provider, with pupils’ personal development being judged as Outstanding. 2019 summer results place Boldon School at the top of schools in South Tyneside for Progress 8.  These achievements serve to highlight that our pupils are benefitting from extremely high standards of education and care.  Consequently, Boldon School is expanding.  Pupil numbers are rapidly increasing with many parents and guardians now making Boldon their school of choice.  As a result, we are seeking to appoint new members of staff, who are innovative, driven and who passionately share in our vision of providing the highest quality of teaching and support for all our students.  Boldon School is an exciting place to teach and inspire; it is where our newest staff members will join in our continued drive for excellence, positively ensuring that our students achieve their full potential.  They will play meaningful roles in equipping our pupils with the skills that will help them achieve here at Boldon and, ultimately, in whichever routes they take in their lives.

The school boasts outstanding facilities including a 220 capacity theatre, hair and beauty salons, swimming pool and fitness suite.  We have a wide array of extra – curricular activities on offer every evening. We are very proud of our Sea Cadet Unit at Boldon School. Our students enjoy a range of activities on water; including power-boating and kayaking and also on land; mountain biking and camping.  Whatever they want to do when they leave school, Sea Cadets gives our students the tools to help them with the big world and enjoy what it brings.

We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships we have with staff, students and parents.  Boldon has a fantastic team of teachers and support staff who will work tirelessly to ensure that all students are supported and encouraged to maximise their potential, in all areas of school. Our behaviour policy ensures that students behave impeccably during lessons and breaks.  Students are encouraged to develop excellent attitudes to learning and a strong independent ethos, which will prepare them for the future.

Boldon School was successful in becoming one of the 40 Careers Hub Schools within the North East, an accolade of which we are very proud.  This success has enabled all students from Year 7-13 to experience opportunities with employers, training providers, further and higher education, effectively complimenting their studies at Boldon.  Our careers programme aims to provide all students with the necessary information and guidance to make informed choices on their future careers and ensure that they are motivated to see value in their achievements.
