Our Tyneside Early Years Practice Hub is a DfE-designated regional hub working directly with early years settings, local authorities, and childminders to share evidence-based best practices, build peer networks, and improve outcomes for young children.
Newcastle Research School, part of the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Research Schools Network, takes a role in supporting a school-led system as part of a dynamic network across the country. Our aim is to help improve the quality of teaching by getting more teachers to use academic research in ways that make a difference in the classroom.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop and execute regional strategies to connect with Private, Voluntary, and Independent (PVI) settings, childminders, and local authority teams.
- Manage websites, social media, and newsletters while ensuring strict adherence to DfE and EEF branding.
- Oversee administrative logistics for CPD programmes, webinars, and conferences.
- Maintain GDPR-compliant tracking systems, perform data assurance checks against DfE funding guidelines, monitor attendance trends, and reconcile financial logs against grant codes.
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- Broad, generalist understanding of Multi Academy Trusts or educational settings
- Ongoing commitment to professional development
- Experience in a professional administrative, marketing, or project coordination role—ideally within the wider education, local authority, non-profit, or training sector.
- Experience using digital communication platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, website CMS, and video conferencing tools like Zoom/Teams).
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

NEAT Academy Trust
NEAT Academy Trust, usually known as NEAT, was formed in 2017 from an existing collaboration of schools within North East England.
Academy trusts are charitable companies set up to provide education for the public benefit. We are a “mixed” multi-academy trust as we were established to include both non-faith and Church of England schools.
At the heart of our trust is the aim to nurture, educate, achieve and transform the lives of all young people within the communities we serve across the North East. We have a national research school, which aims to build and strengthen networks of schools throughout the region and help them access effective education research and implement it in everyday practice.
