Prudhoe Community High School requires a full time, Teacher of Girls’ PE with the ability to teach across Key stages 3, 4 and 5 starting in September 2026. This fixed term post will cease when the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and innovative teacher who wants to make a real difference to the lives of our students through their passion for teaching sport.

The P.E. department at PCHS aims to develop positive attitudes towards physical activity so that young people become aware of the unique contribution that Physical Education makes to a full and healthy life and also to equip them with the capacity, knowledge and skills to achieve this. The department works within the National Curriculum framework at KS3 and 4, where through a broad and
balanced curriculum, students are given opportunities to plan, perform and evaluate their work. At KS4, as well as improving their performance skills, students are also given the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and will take on the role of coach and official.
