St Thomas More is a successful and thriving secondary school, proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust. As a school community, we work closely with colleagues within our Trust, our Diocese, and the Local Authority to ensure our pupils and families are supported in every way possible. We welcome collaboration wherever it strengthens our ability to help young people flourish.
At St Thomas More, our mission is central to everything we do. Rooted in the teachings of Christ, our aim is to enable every member of our community—staff and pupils alike—to reach their full potential. We want teachers who are committed to this mission: colleagues who genuinely love and care for our pupils, who serve them with compassion, and who strive every day to deliver the very best education and pastoral support.
We speak openly about the power of love and the importance of every pupil knowing that they are valued for who they are. Our Catholic ethos is at the heart of our school, shaping the way we think, act, and relate to one another. While we honour our traditions, we warmly welcome teachers and families of all faiths and none. What matters most is a shared belief in dignity, kindness, and respect.
Community is central to who we are. We focus on building strong, trusting relationships because we know that young people thrive when they feel they belong and when the adults around them care deeply about their success and wellbeing. We are looking for teachers who will contribute to this sense of community—professionals who will build meaningful relationships with pupils and families, celebrate their achievements, and support them when things are difficult.
We believe that academic success and personal development go hand in hand. Our ambition is for pupils to leave St Thomas More as happy, confident, and successful young people, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character to pursue their aspirations. Teachers who join us must share this belief and be committed to helping pupils excel both inside and outside the classroom.
We are excited to be recruiting a teacher to join our strong and passionate IT Department, a team dedicated to delivering high‑quality teaching and fostering a love of digital literacy and technological creativity. The successful candidate will teach across the key stages and will bring a deep passion for Computer Science, inspiring pupils to think critically, solve problems, and engage confidently with the digital world.
The opportunity to join our staff team is an exciting one. We are seeking teachers who will bring love, care, ambition, and dedication to our pupils; who will support our ethos wholeheartedly; and who will contribute to our ongoing journey of excellence.
