Academic and Pastoral Support Mentor

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Academic and Pastoral Mentor to join our Sixth Form pastoral team.  Our Sixth Form provision was judged as Outstanding in our most recent OFSTED inspection and the successful candidate will possess the energy and vision to support us in sustaining and building upon this success.

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the academic progress of our sixth form learners as well as promoting student well-being and guiding students through their post 18 options journey.

You will work with the team and students over issues of behaviour and attendance, as well as providing pastoral and wellbeing support to individuals.  You will be able to guide our students in applying for university, apprenticeships and employment.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.  We expect all our staff and volunteers to share our commitment.  Successful applicants are required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
