The Trust is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the Trust’s financial future. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, able to balance oversight of operational excellence with high level strategic insight, ensuring long-term financial health and growth. This is a great opportunity to join a values driven Trust at an exciting stage of our development. You will be a key member of our trust’s leadership team, working closely with the CEO and other leaders to develop and implement strategy and to resource and deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives sustainably.
The CFO is expected to bring a modern commercial approach to the leadership of the financial function, running a highly competent efficient service as well as ensuring the financial health of our organisation. You will bring experience of lateral thinking when it comes to realising the financial and business opportunities within our Trust.
The CFO is directly responsible to the CEO, who is Accounting Officer, and ultimately responsible for proper financial conduct of the institution. The CFO will provide advice on strategic financial issues and be responsible for financial and business management and for the leadership of our small financial team.

Centurion MAT
Centurion Multi-Academy Trust is a newly formed trust that opened on the 1st January 2024. It is made up of four founding member schools that are located within the borough of North Tyneside. Centurion Multi-Academy Trust aims to realise the vision of these founder schools to build a shared learning community in support of the educational potential and life chances of nearly 1600 pupils.
Centurion Multi-Academy Trust will support the development of these schools and continue the informal collaboration the schools have had over the past 10 years.
Centurion Multi-Academy Trust will bring opportunities for schools to work more closely to utilise significant school improvement expertise and to formalise and strengthen our partnerships for the benefits of pupils.
