St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is based in Blaydon. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England and will have a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive team at St Joseph’s to commence work as soon as possible to support a child with specific needs.
We are seeking an individual who is:
• Willing to support the ethos of our school
• Flexible, approachable and has a love of working with children
• Able to help create a stimulating, organised and interactive learning environment
• An excellent communicator who values teamwork
We are seeking an individual who has:
• Experience of planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
• A good understanding of children’s learning
• Sound practical, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Experience of supporting children with SEN
• Experience of working with children across the key stages
• Experience of supporting children with mental wellbeing
• A strong subject knowledge of the UKS2 curriculum for their role in supporting preparation for SATs
