In addition, under the DfE’s school rebuilding programme, St Benet’s shall benefit from a new school building in the future.

Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which has a total of 48 schools. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We would like to appoint a highly motivated, Year 3 Class Teacher to join our enthusiastic and supportive team at St Benet’s.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Is a practising Catholic or who is willing to support the Catholic ethos of our school
- Is an inspirational and motivated teacher who demonstrates outstanding practice in Year 3 and across Key Stage 2
- Can create a stimulating, organised and interactive learning environment
- Has highly effective communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively
- Is prepared to be involved in all aspects of school life
- ECTs are welcome to apply (and we will support through the ECT mentoring programme)
The successful candidate will have:
- Classroom experience in Year 3/ Key Stage 2
- Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, in particular, lower KS2
- High expectations of all children in achievement and behaviour
- Experience of working with children with SEND
- Knowledge of a range of teaching and learning styles
