The Trustees are seeking to appoint as soon as possible, a Cover Supervisor (PE Specialist) for Sedgefield Community College. Whilst this role will involve the successful candidate providing cover across all subjects, there will be a particular focus on PE. The successful candidate will be part of our PE team providing support within and beyond lessons to ensure exceptional PE provision, when not providing cover in other subjects in the school.
We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for this exciting opportunity to join the school team. If you are enthusiastic about working in a school environment as a career and would like to gain experience in the classroom in a forward-thinking school we would welcome an application from you. For anyone who has ambitions to ultimately secure a position as a PE teacher, this would be an excellent post. Equally, this role has the potential to be enormously rewarding for more experienced individuals as you have the opportunity to work closely in supporting young people to achieve their full potential within a high performing PE team. You will be required to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher, implement work programmes, manage student behaviour and assist students in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies.
