Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We wish to appoint a teacher from September 2023 (or as soon as possible) from that date. A secondment agreement would be considered for this role.
We are seeking an individual who:
- is fully supportive of the aims and ethos of our Catholic school;
- is organised and committed to working closely with others as a member of a team;
- demonstrates the highest expectations;
- can motivate all pupils to enjoy their learning;
- has a good knowledge of EYFS;
- has a good knowledge of phonics and early reading;
- is able to work both under direction and using own initiative.

The successful candidate will have:
- A good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS expectations;
- The ability to design and teach effective lessons and learning activities across the relevant curriculum, age and ability ranges, including personalising learning to meet individual needs;
- An understanding and ability to set realistic and challenging targets and be able to assess and review learners’ progress;
- A good, up to date working knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies particularly in EYFS;
- A very good knowledge of current legislation, policies and guidance on the safeguarding of learners and the promotion of their well-being.
