The Trustees are seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Maths for Excelsior Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, suitably qualified and inspirational teacher to oversee our Maths curriculum. The Head of Maths is responsible to the Principal for the efficient running, development and performance of the department, supporting all members of the department in their responsibilities, and directing, as appropriate, the work of those colleagues to ensure successful and effective teaching and learning in order to raise achievement of our pupils.
About the school
The successful candidate will join Laidlaw Schools Trust (a Multi Academy Trust) where all Academies support each other to the benefit of our pupils and their families. Our Academies also enjoy strong support from an experienced LST central team based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Excelsior Academy is an All-Through Academy providing education for students aged 3 – 19, serving the West End of Newcastle. Working at Excelsior, you will play an important role in our continuous drive for further improvement.
