SCHOOLS NorthEast and its subsidiary trading arm SCHOOLS NorthEast Trading Ltd are looking for a talented, commercial, socially-minded leader who can bring considerable expertise and vision to an expanding social enterprise.
Described by the current HM Chief Inspector of Schools, Amanda Spielman, as “a catalyst for change and a forum for constructive discussion”, SCHOOLS NorthEast has a clear strategy for supporting schools in the North East of England to:
- create a culture of evidence-based excellence to ensure that every classroom is the highest quality environment in which young people are learning and developing;
- ensure schools are well-resourced with teaching talent;
- maintain healthy and resilient learning environments for pupils;
- drive decision-making by leaders and stakeholders across the North East to ensure the basic literacy and numeracy skills increase in communities to better support children’s education and development outside of school.
You need to be brilliant at the nuts and bolts of running a young office team and ensuring the finance, administration and HR of the organisation are all highly organised. You’ll make sure day to day operations run smoothly, allowing the wider team and Directors to have a laser-sharp focus on delivering sustainable impact for schools across the region.
You will also play an integral role in driving the charity’s work forward – sourcing new revenue streams, identifying new opportunities to better support schools who are operating in a challenging environment, and growing our operations.
This is a brand new role created as a result of significant growth in recent years and will suit an aspirational team player who is strong at working at different levels within an organisation and can motivate others to deliver real change in education across the region.
